A set of 14 individual meditation cards (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") for
contemplation on the fourteen forces, or angels seven from the visible
world of nature and seven from the invisible, cosmic realms. An explanation of
the meaning and purpose of each one is printed on the reverse side of each
card.
The set also includes The Essene Tree of Life showing our relationship with
all the heavenly and earthly forces.
The Communions, which were the very essence of the daily life of the Essenes
more than two thousand years ago, show how each of these forces is utilized in
our body and consciousness. With daily practice you will learn to absorb the
energy and power of the forces and put them into action.
The Essene Morning & Evening Communions are taken from "The
Teachings of the Essenes from Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls" by Edmond
Bordeaux Szekely and are reproduced with the kind permission of The
International Biogenic Society. Compiled by Elizabeth Blackburn.
THE ESSENES
The ancient and timeless Essene teachings are as applicable today as they
were 2,000 years ago.
The Essene brotherhoods were located for many centuries in the region of the
Dead Sea. They were free cooperatives of completely independent, creative good
neighbours, united only by the spiritual values and teachings of the Essene
Way. They evolved a system of living in harmony with the existing natural
processes which by definition were completely sustainable and did not interfere
or damage their living environment.
They established their own economic system, basedwholly on the Law, and
showed that all man's food and material needs can be attained without struggle,
through knowledge of the Law. They spent much time in the study of education,
healing and astronomy. They were adept in prophecy for which they prepared by
prolonged fasting.
The Essenes lived a simple regular life, rising each day before sunrise to
study and commune with the forces of nature. After their daily labor in the
fields they partook of their meals in silence, preceding and ending them in
prayer. They were entirely vegetarian. Their evenings were devoted to study and
communion with the heavenly forces.
Their way of life enabled them to live to advanced ages of 120 years or more
and they were said to have marvellous strength and endurance. In all their
activities they expressed creative love.
Many healers and teachers were sent out from the brotherhoods, amongst whom
were Elijah, John the Baptist, John the Beloved and the great Essene Master,
Jesus.
